The Podium, Bath

PremGroup’s Premierseal was appointed roofing Contractor by W1 to deliver the replacement of an existing flat roof and associated smaller roofs within the building vicinity. Premeirseal’s main objective was to replace the entire roof area over an existing occupied retail facility in the heart of Bath’s historical city centre.

The works included the complete removal of the existing roof system, and replacement using Premgroup’s Premtec 30 year 3 layer bituminous felt system, the roof itself required a thermal upgrade, replacement of existing failed VCL, and installation of waterproofing layers, including all associated finishes comprising of Leadworks, Replacement Louvres, Liquid details and stools to plant area, etc.

Working within Bath’s historic city centre poses its own challenge’s mainly being that of a large number of pedestrians and very limited space for storage and goods hoisting, with careful planning and client communication our team was able to program the works to ensure the project was well delivered and safe, ensuring that all staff were committed to our ZERO INCIDENT health and safety policy, daily toolbox talks and consistently high-level management visits ensured this project was delivered without incident and to the high standards our clients expect from all at Premierseal.
