Premierseal was instructed to specify, design, and install the complete refurbishment system to the external envelope. The works posed a number of logistical issues given the working restrictions faced when working on a nuclear power facility. The existing roof system suffered from internal vacuum pressure, increasing the natural gravitational load, and putting undue stress on the existing structure, followed by deterioration the of existing deck and waterproofing system. Noting these challenges our team designed and specified an extensive proposal that included the replacement of various decking areas including the installation of a lightweight, breathable flat roof system.
